Edo G History Edward Anderson (born in 1970) is a hip-hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts, United States, better known by his stage names Edo G and Ed O.G.. Although not widely known in the mainstream, Edo G has a cult following in Boston, and an international fanbase. Career of Edo G Born in Roxbury—a working class, predominantly black neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. Anderson then known as Edo Rock started his career in the late 1980s at age 15, in a crew called F.T.I. (Fresh To Impress). They had a song called “Suzi Q” on “Boston Goes Def!” Vinyl LP compilation released in 1986.Three years later, with the help of New York’s legendary Awesome 2 duo (Teddy Ted and Special K) formed Edo G and Da Bulldogs in late 1989. He released his first album in 1991 with his group Da Bulldogs, titled Life of a Kid in the Ghetto. The album included the song “Be a Father to Your Child,” which received airplay on local Boston radio stations, and “I Got To Have It”, which was sampled later by Mary J. Blige on the track “Ooh!”. The group was dropped from Mercury Records in 1993. Edo G has subsequently gone on to release four solo albums and two EPs, toured around the world, and worked with other artists including Pete Rock, DJ Premier, RZA, KRS-One, Common, Black Thought of the Roots, and Masta Ace. On his solo album The Truth Hurts, he combined with DJ Premier and Pete Rock; “Wishful Thinking” was a sequel of his first solo performance. The connection with Rock turned into a partnership for the album My Own Worst Enemy. One of the album’s songs, “Wishing” (featuring Masta Ace), was featured on The Boondocks in episode 9, Return of the King. In 2005, Edo G started a new group called Special Teamz with fellow Boston rappers Jaysaun (of Kreators) and Slaine (of La Coka Nostra). They released a mixtape on November 11, 2005 entitled The Mixtape. Special Teamz released the album, Stereotypez, on September 25, 2007, which featured production from Pete Rock, DJ Premier, and specialist producer Marco Polo, who had previously collaborated with Jake One and Ill Bill. Appearances on the album included Buckshot and Sean Price of the Boot Camp Click, Ill Bill, Akrobtik, and Devin the Dude. Edo G proceeded to work on a new album with Masta Ace. The first single, titled “Little Young” was released via Myspace. The album was scheduled for release in October 2009, but the release was delayed by a cease-and-desist order from A&E Television Networks, which required a complete revision of the album cover artwork and design. Edo G is also a member of the Boston hip hop group 4Peace along with Twice Thou, Wyatt Jackson, and DQuest. Ray Benzino aka Ray Dogg

Ray Benzino Raymond Scott (born July 18, 1965), better known by his stage name Benzino is an American hip hop media executive, and record producer. Along with his longtime friend, David Mays, Benzino is known for being part of the Hip Hop magazine The Source, which was launched in 1988 as a single sheet newsletter out of Mays’s Harvard University dorm room. He was also a founding member of several rap groups before finally becoming a solo artist. UNO The Prophet History Jamarhl Crawford is a Writer, Poet, MC, Activist and Organizer. He is the Author of two books 1996 “Prophecy: Reflections on Life & Love from a Black Perspective” and the 2008 “Prophecy: Exemption & Redemption” as well as two CD’s “Prophetic Visions” and “Beware of False Prophets” under his Hip-Hop pseudonym UNO The Prophet. Jamarhl Crawford aka UNO The Prophet has been featured on BBC-World News Radio, NPR, PBS, Yo! MTV Raps, MTV Europe, Warren Ballentine Show, Billboard Magazine and lectured across the country including Boston’s own MIT, Harvard, Wellesley, Northeastern, BU and BC. UNO The Prophet has chalked up hundreds of performances across the country, including Boston’s 2002 Summer Jam and appearances at SOBs (NYC), B.B. Kings (NYC), Nuyorican (NYC), Smithsonian (DC), Atlanta Black Arts Festival and Transmusicales (France) among others. He has performed with artists including Public Enemy, Dead Prez, Poor Righteous Teachers, X-Clan, NYOIL, Last Poets, Amiri Baraka, Gil-Scot Heron, Run-DMC, Sugar Hill Gang and Grammy Nominated Gold Recording Artists Les Nubians with whom he has toured since 1999 and as featured on the Echos: Nubian Voyager project which was released globally, first as a CD and then re-released as a Book/CD. Ripshop Dorchester MC Ripshop is one of Boston’s Legendary Lyricists. Ripshop has been putting it in for years and has worked with some of the greats in Hip-Hop. Locally Rip has collaborated most notably with Boston underground group Mikst Nutz, forming the legendary alliance consisting of his partners in rhyme Big O and Johnny Hatch (R.I.P). Rip has also got it in with some of Boston’s finest; Edo G., Jaysaun from Special Teamz, Reks and Lucky Dice, Big Shug from Gangstarr Foundation, Cool Gzus formely of MadeMen, Dre Robinson, Akrobatik, Mr. Lif, DJ Kon, DJ Reel Drama, and more. JD Nelson aka Gadget joined with Eric Jenkins to start Fever Magazine in the Fort Hill section of Roxbury in the early 90’s; ICP Studio (1990), Fever Magazine (c. 1992). Over several years running Fever Magazine and ICP (Inner Circle Production) Studio the family grew to include Karriem “King Beef” Ali (R.I.P), Fabian “Backtrack” Murray, Bruce “Mr. B” Sinclair, Jamie Scott, Christian “Cnote” Reis, Khalif “K Woo” Nelson aka Bird, John Gotti. Fever Magazine did high profile interviews with then underground and now legendary Hip-Hop groups such as; Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie Smalls, Craig Mack, EPMD, KRS, Common, Black Moon, Mobb Deep, Group Home, M.O.P., Alkoholiks, etc. Locally in Boston, Fever Magazine worked with some of Boston’s Legends; Concrete Click, Kool Gezus,  Rip Shop/Big O/Johnny Hatch (Mikst Nutz), Akrobatik, Mr. Lif, M-Slash (Wildfire), and more….
