On the inaugural song release off his next street album, making its world premiere right here in the Booth, the ambitious up-and-comer speaks his mind on the state of contemporary hip-hop, as well as airing a few grievances with the society surrounding him. In his final verse, he offers some incisive comments on the public perception of black victims of violent crime: “The whole world’s tellin’ lies about her son’s past / ‘He did this, he did that’ / The fact remains that he black; now he gone.” Producer ATG provides an ominous, sampled beat to back the Boston repper’s bars.
