SPNDA – Scapegoat ft. Dua (Prod. Rah Intelligence) Official Music Video

“Scapegoat” was the first single off the recently released ‘Light Skinned’ Collaborative album by SPNDA and Producer Rah Intelligence. Featuring fellow CCRMG artist Dua, this song led the development of the entire project. The video was filmed, directed and edited by Byrd (BD3 Films) and co-stars Frankee Lu. From the original release: SPNDA (1/3 of Retrospek) approached his latest single “Scapegoat” with the mentality of stepping up at an open mic and getting some weight off his chest. “The first verse deals more with scapegoats in relationships and the second verse is more general about scapegoats in life.” and features vocals from fellow CCR collaborator Dua (also known as the frontman for Bad Rabbits). [Via Scope Music] Yesterday, after months of preparation, Cool Collective Reps SPNDA (@Hologram2Beardz) and Rah Intelligence (@RahIntelligence) dropped their collaborative album Light Skinned. The Project builds on September’s Cornrows & Babyhairs EP, the latter of which contained the single “Gold Plates” which was premiered on HipHop DX. Featuring 11 tracks, the budding lyricist calls on fellow Retrospek member  for production duties while REKS, Dua of Bad Rabbits and fellow Retrospek MC JuneLyfe serve as guest appearances. Previously released singles  “Scapegoat” and “Sweet Chin Serenade” power the new collection of music, which features SPNDA’s signature gritty rhymes over Intelligence’s innovative soundscapes. With years of collaborations, the emcee and producer’s chemistry is at an all time high on Light Skinned as SPNDA expresses his own identity, and tackles stereotypes, the idea of judging someone based on their looks, and much more. SPNDA (1/3 of Retrospek) approached his latest single “Scapegoat” with the mentality of stepping up at an open mic and getting some weight off his chest. “The first verse deals more with scapegoats in relationships and the second verse is more general about scapegoats in life.” The song is a departure from the distinctive sound of SPNDA’s last project “The Jeffrey,” a collaborative EP with fellow CCR member EvillDewer, who produced the entire project. “Scapegoat” is produced by Rah Intelligence (another 1/3 of Retro) and features vocals from fellow CCR collaborator Dua (also known as the frontman for Bad Rabbits). New Moe Pope x Rain “Spit vs Ramo” Video – featuring Reks and the CCR homie Dua (of the Bad Rabbits).
