The way Bells fuses Hip Hop & R&B has made people compare his style to artist such as Drake, Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle + Ty Dolla Sign. In 2017, Bells released a 7 track EP titled ‘Young King, Old Soul’ which was featured on 2DopeBoyz.com, StaySilentPVD.com, KillerBoomBox, Based Boston, Rudeboyy + More. SPNDA x Rah Intelligence – ‘Light Skinned’

[Via Scope Music] Yesterday, after months of preparation, Cool Collective Reps SPNDA (@Hologram2Beardz) and Rah Intelligence (@RahIntelligence) dropped their collaborative album Light Skinned. The Project builds on September’s Cornrows & Babyhairs EP, the latter of which contained the single “Gold Plates” which was premiered on HipHop DX. Featuring 11 tracks, the budding lyricist calls on fellow Retrospek member  for production duties while REKS, Dua of Bad Rabbits and fellow Retrospek MC JuneLyfe serve as guest appearances. Previously released singles  “Scapegoat” and “Sweet Chin Serenade” power the new collection of music, which features SPNDA’s signature gritty rhymes over Intelligence’s innovative soundscapes. With years of collaborations, the emcee and producer’s chemistry is at an all time high on Light Skinned as SPNDA expresses his own identity, and tackles stereotypes, the idea of judging someone based on their looks, and much more. [Via Scope Music] If you’ve been keeping up you know the homies SPNDA and Rah Intelligence have been working on a collaborative album called ‘Ligh Skinned’ – reflections on the complexion and experiences they share. Building up to the project, the two are releasing an EP called ‘Cornrows + Babyhairs’ and the first single from that is “Gold Plates” which was premiered by HipHopDX. “Gold Plates”, the first single off ‘Cornrows + Babyhairs’ highlights both SPNDA and Rah Intelligence’s range as artists stepping out of the boom bap aesthetic people have come to expect from the two. “The EP itself is made up of songs that did not make the cut to the album and I felt like we should share them with people anyway” SPNDA says of the project, a prelude to the duos forthcoming album: ‘Light Skinned’. Swaghili by Rah Intelligence Roxbury Producer Rah Intelligence Releases Instrumental Project ‘Swaghili’ Cool Collective Reps architect Rah Intelligence’s first solo offering ‘Swaghili’ is a departure from his catalog of projects with group-mates Retrospek and frequent collaborators Catch Wreck, Overtime Often (and others) in several ways. A fully instrumental project, the music stands without vocals, showcasing the producers range and sound. Conceptually, the project was a true spur of the moment creation, drawing together from disparate influences and instigations. [Via Scope Music] Originally concieved and recorded in 2012, ‘4 the People‘ was put on hold after a failed attempt to raise money for the project on Kickstarter. The 4 track EP by Roxbury Natives, Catch Wreck and Producer Rah Intelligence, also features an appearance from Boston’s up-and-coming Cassius the 5th. Catch Wreck keeps it raw and classic with his approach, addressing societal issues over expectedly ill boom bap beats from Rah Intelligence. The project is now available digitally from catchwreckmusic.com. “Even though we missed the mark on the Kickstarter campaign, we wanted this music to get out to the people the way we intended.
