Massachusetts rhymesayer REKS and Queens-born beatsmith Hazardis Soundz have come together with The DJBooth, Brick Records and DJ Deadeye to bring listeners their latest collaborative street release, the All Eyes on REKS mixtape. The official prelude to the collaborators’ forthcoming studio album, Eyes Watching God, the project packs a whopping 20 tracks’ worth of original material. For 8 hours, The Arcitype got busy producing a completely original 10-track beat tape, ‘Evolution’. The Evolution beat tape contains no samples. All parts were played and/or recorded and all the beats were conceptualized and created on the spot in the store.
